13-Mar-2026 -- 13-Mar-2026 3:30pm Visiting in-laws in Atlanta. From the airport we had lunch at the 57th Fighter Group Restaurant (WWII theme) in Chamblee. It was a beautiful, clear, early spring day. Cajoled my brother-in-law to take us the CP near Lawrenceville. The lady that came to the door used to do contract GIS mapping of watersheds for the EPA. She was not familiar with DCP but was very knowledgeable of mapping and the coordinates once explained. The owner of the house then came out and he remembered the last point searcher several years earlier. He has since planted a Japanese red maple almost exactly on the point. I’m not sure if that was intentional but the small tree is about one yard north of the confluence point. We took pictures and head back to in-laws home in Sandy Springs, GA. Hope to visit some other points while we are in the area.
