04-May-2002 -- Dies ist die zweite der Confluencen, die meinen Heimatort umgeben. Am 4.Mai.2002 machte ich mich zu einem Besuch auf den Weg, obwohl mir bereits klar war, daß ich dem umfangreichen Bericht von Debra und Mark würde kaum noch etwas hinzufügen können.

Bei schönem Wetter fuhr ich mit dem Motorrad nach Nizbor, das ich gegen 12.30 Uhr erreichte. Ich hielt im Zentrum des Ortes vor einer kleinen Gaststätte. Von hier aus waren es bereits nur noch weniger als 200 Meter bis zu Confluence. Ich suchte den Weg zum Schloß und hatte den Punkt wenig später erreicht. Anders als Debra und Mark fand ich den Punkt auf der steilen Flanke des Schloßberges, so daß ich nur auf etwa 10 Meter nähern konnte. Der Hang war einfach zu steil und zu dicht bewachsen. An dem bekannten Abwasserrohr ging es einfach nicht weiter. Ich kehrte zur Gaststätte zurück und gönnte mir noch ein typisches böhmisches Mittagessen (Gulasch und Knödel...).

Unglücklicherweise sind auch noch die Fotos vom GPS völlig unscharf, so daß ich sie nicht erst scannen wollte. Das Abwasserrohr ist also mein einziger "Beweis"...

04-May-2002 -- This is the second of the confluences surrounding my home village. At the 4th of May I went out for a visit, however it was obvious to me, that I would be able to add a serious thing to the extensive report by Debra and Mark (Visit 1).

With really beautiful weather (dry but not too warm) I went by bike to Nizbor arriving there about 12.30 pm. I stopped in the centre of the village in front of a tiny restaurant. The GPS said that I would have less than 200 metres to go. After looking for the path to the castle I arrived at the point only a little later. Differently from Debra and Mark I found the spot at the steep slope of the castle. With my slippery bike-boots I wasn't able to go closer than 10 metres. The slope was too steep there and too closely covered with scrub. At the well-known waste-tube I couldn't go any further. I returned to the restaurant and had a typical czech meal (Goulash with "Knoedel" - I don't think that an english word exists therefore).

Unfortunately the photos of the GPS-device are completely out of focus and I didn't want to scan them. The picture with the waste-tube is my only evidence so far...
