... shortly before that.

20-Aug-2015 – On our return route Slovakia didn't please us with new visits and the next one took place already in Poland. We stayed for a night in Kraków and planned to spend there the next day. Wishing not to steal time from leisure and thus not to worry my family I got up early and quickly drove to the “hunt”.

The confluence with nice coordinates 50°N 20°E is located on the border between Kraków and Wieliczka virtually under ring highway. I had not read the reports of other visitors and was afraid that the exact location may fall on someone's property. Fortunately this territory is not developed yet. Next is the construction of several private houses but the confluence itself is still covered under the trees. Coming closer I saw the red-and-white barrier tapes stretched in confluence's direction. I decided that the builders made it. However it turned out that those tapes show the passage to the place I needed. And there on the ground was the figure tiled from the concrete blocks with brief inscription 50°N E20°.

                                            50°    N

                                            E      20°

The big square is oriented by cardinal directions. On each side it has stylized arrow made of smaller stones. A kind of wind rose.

It’s the second confluence in this voyage marked so monumentally. And what is noteworthy the both we met in Poland. Looks like people here are not indifferent to geographical measurements.

By the way, just 4 km from the confluence there is a very interesting place - the Wieliczka Salt Mine.We strongly recommend anyone visiting Kraków to go there. It's unforgettable!

And soon after that ...
