22-Apr-2015 -- I had two lovely days in Halle an der Saale at a meeting with my former classmates. On my way back to Berlin, I made a short detour to visit this convenient confluence point.

As expected, I could drive up to about 150 meters to the point and easily park my car on the roadside. My Garmin eTrex gave up the ghost after a few moments due to battery weakness. That is why I used my mobile phone with the Android app 'GPS Status' to determine the exact position of the confluence point. The reception was good and I had a fast satellite fix. Only some low-hanging branches of the nearby oak were interfering with my little corrective movements.

But all the zeros were to be seen soon on the screen so I could keep the outcome as a screenshot. After that I brought my eTrex back to life by means of external power supply. Although the agreement between the two devices was not perfect, with a difference of about two meters one can certainly be satisfied because no more is possible. After all the pictures were taken, I went back to my car and continued my journey home to Berlin in a good mood. On the way I made another quick stop in the small town of Kloster Zinna, founded in 1764 by Frederick the Great to settle craftsmen in this region.
