14-Oct-2007 – The adventure comes from N°38 W°123.

Having fulfilled the 1st part of the mission, I returned to Point Reyes town and from there to the city of Novato. At this time no more fog was around. Here I once again was on freeway 101 but heading south and I soon changed to 37 (Sears Point Road) towards the east. When I arrived at Vallejo city, I stopped in a Denny’s restaurant at Sonoma Blvd. to have lunch, but service was very slow because it was full and I lost some time that I might need later. Now with energy reestablished, I continued on Sonoma Blvd until the interstate I-80 North and in a mile I arrived at interstate I-780 where I continued my way towards the east. Later I changed to interstate I-680 in a southeast direction and crossed the Suisun Bay.

Later when arriving at freeway 4, I turned toward the east and at Willow Pass Road went south. In just a few meters I started to see the fence that appears in the photos of all the previous reports with the signboard warning that this is a restricted area.

I made a U-turn and parked the vehicle. I walked with my GPS until obtaining the minimum distance to the confluence which is 50 meters. I took the required pictures and the 2nd mission was accomplished at 02:03 p.m., a piece of cake. The confluence is located 28 meters above sea level.

Once I completed the activity here, I continued with my itinerary towards N°38 W°121.
