(visited by Henk Pouwels)

25-Jul-2007 -- Travelling to France I stayed the night over at the camping of Houyet on the river Lesse; about 35 km SSE of Namur in the Belgium Ardennes.

The confluence is 10 km South of the camping. Driving through the beautiful region I stopped at Beauraing to visit the market and to buy some fruit.

My first Belgium confluence was easy to find with a convenient parking position at 40 m. It is in a wood very close to the N835 road. The road can be seen as a bright area in image 3, the look to the South.

The tall trees and the foliage degrade the accuracy to about 15m. In combination with the indicated position offset calculated from the GPS reading the overall accuracy of the DCP is about 25 m.

Around the DCP, well within the 100m circle, a lot of different markings were found. According to information by the Google Earth Community this is also a position for checking speed by radar; you are warned by “Foxy Tag Radar”!
