Distancia recorrida caminando: 650 m

Altura a superar caminando: 95 m

29-Dec-2019 -- Taking advantage of my son's visit, we decided to hike through the Black Forest. It was a perfect winter day: lots of sun and temperatures close to 0° C. After preparing everything for the trip we left by car. When we passed through Freiburg we heard on the radio that all the roads in the area we wanted to visit were congested with so many visitors. We weren't the only ones who took advantage of the good weather.

We made the decision to visit the confluence N48 E8 that was very close to where we were. The lower part of the valleys were full of fog but when we drove a little higher we were above it. We were just beside the place of confluence, but we decided to continue towards St. Peter and from there up to the top where we had a beautiful view of a part of the Black Forest. After taking some pictures we go back down to the place near the confluence where we left the car parked. It took us a short time to climb to the confluence and locate the zeros. Being the first confluence that my son visited, I let him use the GPS.

The confluence is very easy to access and is located on the side of a hill in the middle of a small pine forest.

Walking distance: 650 m

Height to overcome walking: 95 m
