08-Aug-2002 -- During our vacation in Hungary in August 2002 we decided to visit the confluence situated closest to our hotel in Zalakaros. It was 47N 17E near the little village of Berbaltavar. I had prepared already some little maps from different map servers with all hungarian confluences that seemed possibly within reach during our stay in Hungary. From far away the terrain seemed to be quite suitable for a visit with a wheelchair: flat land and closed to the road. In the morning of August, 8., 2002 we went off from Zalakaros (50 km away). On the way we stopped at the new thermal bath of Zalaszentgrot, where already our "predecessors" made a break.

Close to the confluence we stopped at small driveway to the field on the road from Zalaber to Berbaltavar. This was the point with the least distance to the confluence. Unfortunately we weren´t able to walk on the field by pushing the wheelchair. The soil was heavy and wet, beside that the whole field still covered with unharvested plants of maize. We didn´t want to damage them and we had still more than 900 metres to go. So we ended up with this "attempt".
