12-Jun-2026 -- En juin 2026, j'ai traversé la France d'ouest en est à vélo le long du 47°N parallèle afin de visiter les points de confluence. Le 12 juin, je suis arrivé au point 47°N,6°E, 9ème et dernier point de mon périple.

Le point est situé dans le bois de la Tille dans un méandre du cours d'eau du Lison. Pour l'atteindre, il faut donc arriver par la route au sud, 140m au dessus du cours d'eau en contrebas. Je suis donc arrivé depuis Saraz à l'ouest.

Je suis rentré dans la forêt avec mon vélo au niveau de la côte "504" sur la carte IGN et j'ai pu suivre une piste forestière pendant 500m vers le nord-est. Ensuite, j'ai du laisser le vélo et continuer à pied.

Après avoir franchi à peu près 50m de végétation, le terrain devient caillouteux et la pente s'accentue. Le point est situé vers 433m d'altitude, il faut donc descendre à peu près 70m de dénivelé en direction du nord. Le terrain est constitué de pierres instables recouvertes de mousse et d'arbres dont les branches mortes jonchent le sol. Je n'ai pas trouvé le chemin d'accès le plus direct. Je suis descendu trop bas en escaladant la paroi de rochers et j'ai ensuite du remonter. Mais j'ai finalement atteint l'endroit exact, dans une pente pas trop raide.

La vue est assez bouchée mais l'endroit est isolé et calme. Après avoir pris les photos, j'ai pu remonter la pente vers le sud en escaladant beaucoup moins qu'à l'aller. Peut-être que l'accès assez difficile a rendu cet endroit intéressant mais ce fût le point de confluence préféré de mon périple.

Après avoir retrouvé mon vélo, j'ai rejoint Saraz et j'ai continué ma route vers le nord. Le soir j'ai atteint Besançon d'où j'ai pris un train en gare de Franche-Comté TGV le lendemain. Prendre un TGV en France avec un vélo est compliqué. Heureusement que je sais désormais comment le démonter et le ranger dans une housse. Je pourrais sans doute visiter de nouveaux points de confluence avec ce moyen de locomotion (train + vélo démonté).

12-Jun-2026 -- In June 2026, I cycled across France from west to east along the 47th parallel to visit the confluence points. On June 12th, I arrived at point 47°N, 6°E, the 9th and final point of my journey.

The point is located in the Bois de la Tille forest, in a bend of the Lison River. To reach it, you have to approach from the south by road, 140 meters above the river below. I therefore arrived from Saraz in the west.

I entered the forest with my bicycle at the point marked "504" on the IGN map and followed a forest track for 500 meters to the northeast. Then, I had to leave the bike and continue on foot.

After passing through about 50 meters of vegetation, the terrain became rocky and the slope steepened. The point is located at around 433 meters altitude, so I had to descend approximately 70 meters to the north. The terrain consisted of unstable stones covered in moss and trees with dead branches scattered on the ground. I couldn't find the most direct route. I descended too far by climbing down the rock face and then had to climb back up. But I finally reached the exact spot, on a slope that wasn't too steep.

The view was rather obscured, but the place was secluded and peaceful. After taking the photos, I was able to climb back up the slope to the south, with much less climbing than on the way there. Perhaps the somewhat difficult access made this place interesting, but it was my favorite confluence point of my trip.

After retrieving my bike, I went back to Saraz and continued north. That evening, I reached Besançon, where I took a train at the Franche-Comté TGV station the next day. Taking a TGV in France with a bike is complicated. Luckily, I now know how to disassemble it and pack it in a bag. I could probably visit other confluence points using this mode of transport (train + disassembled bike).

Coordinator's Note: I also learned how to handle the bicycle in the TGV! If you pack it properly, it is possible. By the way on this confluence I officially corrected the way how two languages are handled at confluence.org
