In June 2026, I cycled across France from west to east along the 47th parallel to visit the confluence points. On June 9th, I arrived at point 47°N, 4°E, the 7th point of my journey.

The point is located in the Evily forest, at an altitude of 700 meters. I arrived from the village of Fâchin in the west, taking the road to the hamlet of Châtelet, then the forest track up to an altitude of 711 meters. The area is a managed forest, and there is a lot of cut wood piled up by the roadside.

The plot where the point is located was recently logged. It is possible to reach the exact point by starting from the forest track and descending the slope on foot, making your way through the ferns. Many wild pink flowers are blooming in early June, probably foxgloves. After taking the photos, I returned to my bicycle and continued eastward. A little further on lies the Haut Folin mount, the highest point in Burgundy (901m altitude).

The area is probably more interesting in winter, as the forest tracks become marked cross-country ski trails.
