#1: Overview

(visited by Pierrick H.)

English

In June 2026, I cycled across France from west to east along the 47th parallel to visit the confluence points. I took the train to Nantes with my bike and headed southwest. On June 2nd, I arrived at point 47°N, 2°W, the first point of my journey.

The point is located at sea level, in a meadow between several canals, 130 meters from the road. I arrived from Bourgneuf-en-Retz in the north.

It was windy, but the weather was fine. I left my bike by the side of the road and climbed over the barrier. There are a few farms visible nearby, but I didn't see anyone.

The only difficulty is the canal that must be crossed from the west (impossible from the southwest). The photos were taken quickly, and I was able to continue my journey.
