Hi people

Each time I look at the homepage of this project, I recognize that the number of visited degree conflunce points in Germany is still increasing. Great!! But I also saw, that nearly every point I could reach easy from my home has been visited! So this morning I decided to visit the last remaining point near Weissenburg, which is only 120 km away from my home.

I needed nearly 3 hours to reach the region with my old truck. After 20 minutes I found a good place to start searching. I had to cross some fields and I could see the point I was looking for from a distance. The night before it was raining and so after half an hour I had 2 pounds of mud on each shoe.

The GPS receiver showed me the way and I had to walk into the forest. The underbrush was like a jungle and walking was nearly impossible. Then the receiver said: here is the degree confluence!!! I marked the position and took photos of the landscape. It was very quiet while I was standing there ....

...and suddenly a deer runs out of the underbrush, only 3 meters away from me ... one, a second and a third! The deer looked as surprised as I! I hoped there wasn't a hunter ... maybe he could mistake me for a deer!!!

After this experience I got in my truck and returned home.
