#1: Confluence point

(visited by John Dag Hutchison)

22-May-2008 -- With the Tomtom fixed at Aydon Castle we set out from the west along Hadrian's Wall. The weather was beautiful and the going easy. At exactly 1,5 km from Aydon Castle the GPS indicated that the cp was just a few hundred meters to the left. I walked along a jeep track to a point about 135 meters from the cp.

There I found a small stream which I jumped over and then faced an electrified fence. The cp was 105 meters away on the other side of the fence in a field where grass had been sown. Fortunately there was a spot recently ploughed up with almost no grass. I jumped over, walked for about 15 meters took the required photos and returned to the road. It was when I reached the road that I saw the notice: No trespassing.
