(visited by Hoankiem, Grandfather of Tivi, Thanh Tung and Chu Dan)

18-Sep-2006 -- After leaving the point 19N 105E, we visited Phong Nha cave that is an world cultural heritage and dropped in the 17th parallel of latitude. Here as planned, we intended to drop in the point of 17N 107E, however, as it was late and the GPS was ran out of battery, we had to ignore this point. Continuing going along Truong Son road during 3 days, passing Dong Duong T junction which is the point of frontier among 3 countries: Vietnam, Lao and Cambodia, we came to Pleyku (a highland city) at 11 am.

When we went on high way 14 passing the city, the distance between the GPS and the point 14N 108E was only 600m. We went on the direction, the distance was shortened and shortened, and then we came in to a coffee garden. When we were only several meters far from the point, we saw a small house. At first we defined the point in the garden but after all the figures showed zero when we were in the middle of the house ground. The house owner family was very pleasant to welcome us. The wife also swept and washed the ground to invite us come in to the house. The husband poured wine to invite us and asked us more about GPS. The wife remind the last time when there was a team visiting their house, there was a newly couple (a bride and a groom) in that team, they drank and said congratulations to the couple right in the ground. One also bought the wine made by her family to bring back to Saigon And the husband regret not being at home the previous time. However, he felt worry as he did not know if the point in his house bring his family luck or unluck. After listening to our explanation, he had peace of mind. Saying good bye to the house owner family, we came back to our car and continued our trip toward southern direction and on that way, we reached the point of 14N 109E.
