30-Jan-2005 -- Panzer point.

Точка N55_E34 находится вблизи города Вязьма. В 1941 году именно в этом месте разворачивались одни из самых драматических событий обороны Москвы. Именно здесь танковые части группы армии Центр, под командованием Гота, взяли в котел передовые части Красной армии.

Стартуем из Москвы, на поезде Москва - Смоленск, в 23.50 с Белорусского вокзала. И начинается дорога, протяженностью сутки и длиной полтысячи километров.

03.22 прибываем в Вязьму, в 05.30 отходит автобус до конечной остановки "Хватов завод". Точку дороги, ближайшую к N55_E34 я засекал дома, при помощи OziExplorera. Точность получилась метров 5. Время 06.10 утра, кромешная темень, ветра нет, падает редкий снежок, температура градусов 6 ниже ноля. Дальше идти предстоит по глубокому снегу. Поэтому поверх одежды и обуви надеваем защитные мешки, включаем фонари и идем через лес к точке конфлюенции.

Останавливаемся в пятидесяти метровом радиусе, возле сосны, с множеством сухих нижних веток. Готовим на горелке суп, и пытаемся развести костер. Наступил рассвет. Тропим последние 50 метров к точке, делаем необходимые снимки, собираем вещи и, по своим следам, выходим обратно на дорогу. Обратно идем 5 километров пешком до деревни, от которой ходит автобус. Точка взята и теперь наша задача осмотреть достопримечательности города Вязьмы и до конца дня вернуться в Москву.

30-Jan-2005 -- Panzer point.

The point N55_E34 is located near the city of Vyazma. In 1941 one of the most dramatic events in the defense of Moscow unfolded right in this place. Right here tank units of Army Group Centre, under the command of Guderian, encircled advance units of the Red army.

We shall start from Moscow, by the Moscow - Smolensk train, at 23.50 from the Belarus station. Thus begins the trip, which lasted a whole day and 500 kilometers.

03.22 we arrive to Vyazma, the bus to the final stop "Hvatof zavod" departs at 05.30. The point on the road nearest to N55_E34 I had marked at home, with the help of OziExplorer. The accuracy turned out to be about 5 meters. The time was 06.10 in the morning, absolute darkness, no wind, a little bit of snow falls, the temperature is about 6 degrees below zero (Celsius). It is necessary to go further in the deep snow. Therefore we put on protective bags over our clothes and footwear, turn on lanterns, and head through the woods toward the confluence point.

We come to a stop at a fifty meter radius, near a pine with a whole lot of dry lower branches. We prepare soup over a burner, and we try to build a fire. Dawn came. We go the last 50 meters to the point, we take the necessary pictures, we collect our things and, on our tracks, we head back to road. We go back 5 kilometers on foot to the village from which the bus departs. The point is taken and now our task is to see the sights of the city of Vyazma until the end of day and return to Moscow.
