#1: View from 100 m away from the SE

(visited by Bernd Heer, Wilhelm Kaessens and Josef Hinterecker)

26-Mar-2004 -- On our free day (Friday in Libya) we set out to visit the second Confluence in Libya. This time the Ghibli, a local wind from the Sahara was blowing, so it was warm, but dusty and windy.

After a drive of 170 km, most of it on surfaced road, we arrived at a point about 200 m from the Confluence. The Confluence lies in the coastal plains, close to the escarpment. The point is on the edge of a rather large wādiy next to some small fields. Apart from the constant danger on the Libyan roads, we had no trouble getting there.
