29-Mar-2007 -- Ten of us, mainly Belgian with a few English added for pure entertainment value (??) were on an expedition in southern Libya. Our guides were mystified as to why we were disappearing into the horizon in one direction while they were trying to lead us another, but finally caught up with us only to be increasingly confused as we tried to explain in English, Flemish, and French the significance of a Confluence when neither of them spoke anything but Arabic.

There wasn't much to see here, some occasionally tended farmland, but it was a fun, if slightly competitive, interlude on a fabulous exploring trip of Libya. We are all searching for excuses to revisit and a newly developed thirst for confluence hunting seems like a great one to take us back to the exhilarating dune driving, the stunning scenery, and the campsites under the stars.

Huge thanks go to Sam and Bea for an extremely successful trip, the Prepare2Go team will return.
