03-May-2013 -- In the afternoon we visited the confluence 50N 2E, and we continued then towards the point 50N 4E. It is just to the south of the village Wignehies, north from Hirson.

We easily found the point which is in the middle of a meadow with a herd of cows. We went to the farm at the west side of the weadow to ask for the permission to enter there. We found the owner, Mr. Seret. He didn't know that a confluence was in its meadow. By coincidence, he made a trip a few time ago in New Zealand where he had visited a place which marked the parallel 45° south.

He was very friendly and he joined us in the field. We found the point easily. Its cows were also very curious about what we were doing and while we took a picture of us three with the retarder, one of them came to lick the camera. Also our GPS interested them much and one of the cows really tried to take it from my hands to taste it.

We still discussed about travels and the history of the area with Mr. Seret, then we continued our way back to the south of Belgium.
