16-Mar-2010 -- I found this confluence for my physical geography class as extra credit. It was done over Spring break on a Tuesday, Mar 16, 2010. I left my home in Glendale, Arizona around 10:30 and made it to my destination about an hour later. At first I was scared because the area was completely different from what I had seen in other people's pictures who visited the same confluence. This area was modernized, a farmer's field just a way from a small city. This couldn't be the same area I thought to myself.
After turning on my gps and using the internet on my phone to insure I was at the same confluence I finally got out of the car to start my fairly small walk. Coincidentally, police officers had a speed trap set up right where I parked so they were staring at me the whole time wondering why a city boy in his Hyundai was that far South. I figured even if they tried to get me for trespassing on the farmer's property, they have to have at least some amount of sympathy and let me off since it was for school.
I made sure I parked on the side to cross over the dam and from there it was only about a 100 yard walk to the destination. The officers left, I got my pictures, and made it back home.
