20-May-2008 -- Having had a windy night on the ship from Patra (Greece), I arrived to the south-italian city of Brindisi in the early morning of May 20th, 2008. After visiting the famous “Trulli” in Alberobello I wanted to add N41E17 to my CP-list.

Via Putigniano and Turi I drove towards the small city Rutigliano near Bari. In the outskirts of Rutigliano I turned left in direction of Capurso but immediately left that street to the right, in the close vicinity of the CP. This smaller street led to a distance of 20m to N41E17, but I drove on, turned right one more time and parked the car at the end of the courtyard, on which the CP is located. Walking back about 100m allowed me to enter that courtyard, which is overgrown by enormous amounts of weed. The point is near the edge of the yard and to my big surprise the lorry, which already was described in the two visits of 2001 is still standing nearby unmoved and declining!

But after taking the pictures I left that easy to find but unalluring to stay CP as fast as possible. The rest of the day was full of other south-italian touristic highlights: Castel del Monte, worth-seeing “Sassi” in Matera and a beautiful ride through the Cilento national-park at the western-italian shore. Finally I arrived on a camping-site in Pompeji in the late evening.
