(visited by Gordon Spence and Alfredo B. Remon Mendez)

16-May-2006 -- Continued from 52N 01W. This is the second visit of the day and we are going to the Prime Meridian to stand with one foot in the East and one foot in the West

I have set the SatNav to avoid the main roads so that my visitor's can see some of the countryside and we found a nice spot for some pictures to show what the countryside is like around here

We decided to complete this point before lunch and parking up at the usual spot revealed the first surpise, it looks completely different!. Previous visits have seen bare earth, green half grown crops and golden wheat. What did we see this time? Bright yellow Rape.

the farmer who owns this field must have SatNav in the tractor as the tractor tracks are yet again *exactly* on the Prime Meridian.

And yet again the GPS flip-flops between showing W00 and E00, much to Alfredo's surprise. We spent a while here before taking all the photo's and then heading off for lunch.

We headed into the village of Barkway and stopped at the Tally Ho pub for a nice pint and some local sausages. If you ask nicely they have some eye watering home made Horseradish sauce made with produce from the garden

Suitably fortified we headed off for the last visit of the day...
