It was a sunny morning when I departed from Rio Grande-RS, to find the point of confluence of Latitude 32 ° South with Longitude 052 ° "located near the western city of Sao Jose do Norte-RS. I arrived to the boat (R$ 1.75 the passage) making the crossing of the Patos Lake. It was 07:46 am local at berth in the Sao Jose do Norte-RS.

Then started my journey being guided by GPS navigation (model Garmin eTrex Vista HCx and Datum WGS84), with the route that had previously calculated. But during the journey had to divert the route calculated because I encountered with natural obstacles such as land flooded, and even areas of peat lands swarm of bees, which made the journey longer.

But it was gratifying, after four and a half hours of walking, see the Satellite Receiver that was started to give me the seconds away from the point of confluence. The approach was a moment of great emotion. I found the Point of the Confluence 11:52 am local. Then I started a static measurement from 11:55 am to 12:28 pm local. This allowed the receiver gain 2,002 measurements accurately estimated 0.9 meters and elevation of 9 meters to the Point of Confluence (Latitude 32°00'00"South and Longitude 052°00'00"West).

Although the receiver recorded a constellation of 11 satellites, of which 5 satellites were found to 45° of the skyline. The Point of Confluence was materialized with a bamboo pole of 0.4 meters. Then started to walk back, arriving at on station ferryboat from Sao Jose Norte-RS the 02:50 pm local, 03:00 pm local board for the Rio Grande-RS.

Demand from Confluence provided an exciting adventure for me and interaction with the environment every second. It was possible to observe a variety of plants and flowers that own bird habitat and even as the Owl and the Condor (this one I believe migratory because its size was very large) was possible to admire.
