28-Aug-2004 -- We left Rio Grande with two hours of delay due to fog that hindered the departure of the ferry-boat which would take us to Sao Jose do Norte.
Leaving SJN toward northeast, by the BR-101, soon our GPS pointed direct to the right accusing a distance about two kilometers.
We talk with the landowner and asked him for leaving the car near the house while lasting our expedition on foot to the point. We came back to SJN to have lunch and came back soon to start the journey.
At a glance it seemed easy, but the amount of small lagoons and the swamp made us walk almost the double of the foreseen.
Arriving near the point we've found some people planting onion and we asked for license to arrive at the place that, fortunately, was dry and firm.
Returning we decided to take another track and this was still worse.
