This time my trip to the confluence was quite unusual. Namely, I went there by a special retro train, led by the Tr 5 65 steam locomotive with equally old carriages dating from the beginning of the 20th century, which were characterized by a lot of doors. Through Stęszew, Grodzisk Wielkopolski, and Rakoniewice the train got to Wolsztyn and after a short stopover and changing the loco continued its way toward Nowa Sól.

At 10:15 I get off at Krzyż-Rudno stop and headed west by a forest track. GPS showed that I was about 1100 m away from the confluence. I wandered quite fast as the return train was due to depart at 11:42 (normally this railroad track is closed, there are only special rides). Along wide tracks I came close by the confluence, but the last several dozen meters I had to struggle through the dense pine forest. GPS readings led me out of the wood to a small oblong glade, and at its edge I found the confluence. Having some rest and taking commemorative pictures I set off for a return way. I skirted around the dense forest and got to the rail stop 5 minutes before the scheduled depart.

Unfortunately, because of small fire started by the loco, the train came 25 minutes late and my hurry turned out to be useless. After a stop in Wolsztyn and visiting the loco shed we arrived to Poznań in the afternoon.
