20-Apr-2004 -- It was a crisp April day when we set out to find this confluence point. We knew it was near the small Inuit community of Kuujjuaq, Nunavik, in northern Quebec. We had our ski-doos, maps, cameras and GPS, and most importantly the determination to find the point.

The ride across the frozen lakes and arctic tundra was as exhilerating as the thought of actually locating the confluence point. The sun was shining down bright, the air was clean and cool and the snow was perfect for ski-dooing.

We left Kuujjuaq in the afternnon, crossing False River, which borders on side of town. For awhile we followed a well-packed trail leading to George River, the nearest community to us. Consulting our map we evetually veared off into the sparsely forested land crossing another frozen lake and following our GPS into a clearing. It is here we eventually found 58N 68W.
