(visited by Jack Frickey and Cheryl Corrigan)

18-Feb-2004 -- Cheryl and I were on a crosscountry dash from San Jose to Atlanta. Emma, my 94 Explorer, was packed to the gills as I was in the midst of a move from west to east coast. We had four days to go more than 2500 miles. To break the monotony of a long drive I had mapped out a number of geodashing dashpoints and a couple confluences to visit along the way. By the end of day two we made it to Amarillo, Texas.

We were up early on Wednesday, February 18, and visited a dashpoint on Cemetery Road then headed south of Amarillo to the confluence at 35N 102W about 5 miles west of Canyon, TX. The confluence was pretty nondescript. It was about 45 feet north of Hall Road in a plowed field with the views pretty much the same in every direction as evidenced by the photos (1, 2, 3, & 4). With open space in every direction and an EPE of less than 4 meters, my GPSr found all zeros (photo 5) quickly. With a lot of miles to cover, we got back in Emma and headed east.
