(visited by Nicolas Sabourin and Mister Potatohead)

17-Jan-2004 -- Since my first degree confluence visit in the State of México on January I proved to be highly addictive, I decided to visit as soon as possible this confluence, which seemed to be easily accessible by road according to the Guia Roji.

I left Mexico City in the morning under an overcast sky. On the toll highway to Toluca, the weather turned very windy and rainy, not exactly the ideal driving conditions. Fortunately, it was sunny in Michoacán. It took me close to four hours to get to Santa Ana Maya, but this was a nice drive. Tolls were quite hefty, but I guess one has too spend a bit to be able to explore a new patch of the planet...

I found the confluence just as indicated on the website, one kilometre east of Santa Ana Maya. It was extremely easy to reach: it was located in a corn field at about 150 metres from the road.

Visiting this confluence was almost too easy, but given the distance from Mexico City, it's a good thing that I didn't have to spend hours looking for it. Once again, Mister Potatohead totally enjoyed the experience.

Thanks to Michael Grant for his GPS!
