#1: The ravine views to South from confluence

(visited by Lis Maria Rabaco / Endre De Gyalokay)

20-Jul-2003 -- We went to Sao Joao del Rei and Tiradentes in order to hike across the Sierra de Sao Jose. It tooks us all day long, crossing a beautiful landscape.

In the next day we decided to visit Bichinho, and Prados (both small villages) and try to find this confluence point. We have a map, named Tiradentes, and all roads towards the confluence went to Carandaizinho.

When we arrived in Prados, a small city, which the main occupation is handmade artcrafts, we asked about how to arrive to Carandaizinho, distante around 1000 meters from confluence point. In the way we stopped in Gilberto Ateliers and bougth some hand made crafts.

It was a little bit difficult to find the way to the confluence by car, and we were lost sometimes. We found a place at 120 meters from the confluence on a gravel road and left the car just after a fence, and started to approach to the confluence point.

The confluence was near a ravine, and near a spoiled corn land. There were some eucalypt pine trees nearby.

The day was beautiful, and just after find the confluence we went to hike to cruzeiro, a small peak with 1368 meters in Prados.
