(visited by Bernie Van Tighem) 01-Aug-2001 -- This is a remote one!!! I travelled south of Yellowknife by boat to the Inner Whaleback rocks with some passengers who were working on the weather monitoring station there. This is good because they paid the fuel bill. From that location it was just a few miles by boat to the confluemce. I took a picture in each direction, to show how remote this location is, the closest land is to the East aopproximately 15 miles. I also snagged a shot of the Garmin screen and one showing the area on a chart. |
