21-Jul-2001 -- I had 4 days off and decided to ride my motorcycle on the twisty roads of the alpine passes near Annecy. When preparing my waypoints, I found out that my road would be very near the 46°N 6°E point. So I decided to visit this confluence.

The confluence is in a grass field 20 meters from a very small road. pictures #1 to #3 show this field which is absolutely not interesting ! On the road there is an isolated restaurant with its convenient small parking lot.

On the other side of the road, the landscape is much nicer (view #4).

There are plenty of beautiful landscapes in this area but this confluence is not in any of them!
