  44°N 28°E (visit #3)

#1: General view of the area

(visited by Alpar Kovacs, Zador KOVACS and Melinda KOVACS)

21-Aug-2026 -- This visit was a small detour on a family trip from Tropaeum Traiani (or Trajan's Trophy) in Adamclisi [17 km from the CP]. The trophy monument was built in AD 109 to commemorate Roman Emperor Trajan's victory. Today, most of the original parts of the monument are hosted in the Adamclisi Museum. The CP is easily accessible but located on a steep slope, just 25 m from the 391A road. Underestimating the situation, I started the hike in sandals and ended up in spiny vegetation filled with all the Cirsium and Carduus species.
