Confluencia de celebración navideña familiar

Mi 2do hijo vive en Hinesville Georgia al suroeste de Savannah y para estas navidades mi hijo menor esta tomando sus vacaciones y permiso en su trabajo para venir de Ansbach Alemania a reunirnos en casa de Gustavo para la celebración de la navidad. Quien no puede venir es mi hijo mayor para quien movilizarse no es nada fácil ya que sería una gran movilización de toda su familia (esposa y dos niñas). En virtud de esta reunión me puse a pensar como también podríamos celebrar este encuentro y pues lo haremos con algo que solíamos hacer juntos como visitar una confluencia.

La confluencia mas cercana y adicionalmente fácil es 32N 82W a menos de 40 minutos de la puerta de la casa, así que temprano el 23 de diciembre cerca del mediodía ya con el sol en el punto de mayor calentamiento partimos con destino a nuestro objetivo de hoy 32N 82W.

Inicialmente tomo la US 84 dirección oeste y posteriormente la US 25 hacia el norte. Paso por Glennville y continuo por la US 23 hacia el oeste hasta Adron Toodle Rd (una carretera de tierra pero en muy buenas condiciones) hasta su intercepción con Durrence Rd, el área donde se encuentra la confluencia.

Justo cuando hacíamos la famosa Danza de la Confluencia, se nos acercó el propietario (quien de paso es un retirado del US Navy) donde se encuentra la confluencia a un costado de Durrence Rd y nos dijo mas o menos estaba el punto. Completamos la danza de la confluencia y el propietario quien se había ido a su casa regreso con un ladrillo para que lo colocáramos en la confluencia para su conocimiento de su ubicación exacta.

Luego de completar las actividades en la confluencia y habernos despedido del propietario del área del punto, nos regresamos a Hinesville para celebrar con una gran comida en The Wafles House que a Gustavo le gusta mucho sus wafles.

Family Christmas Celebration Confluence

My 2nd son lives in Hinesville, Georgia, southwest of Savannah, and for this Christmas my youngest son is taking his vacation and leave from work to come from Ansbach, Germany to meet at Gustavo's house for the Christmas celebration. The one who cannot come is my eldest son for whom mobilizing is not easy since it would be a great mobilization of his entire family (wife and two girls). By virtue of this meeting, I began to think about how we could also celebrate this meeting and we will do it with something that we used to do together such as visiting a confluence.

The closest and additionally easy confluence is 32N 82W less than 40 minutes from the front door, so early on December 23rd around noon with the sun at the warmest point we set off for our target for today 32N 82W.

Initially we took US 84 westbound and later US 25 northbound. It passed through Glennville and continued on US 23 west to Adron Toodle Rd (a dirty road but in very good conditions) until its intersection with Durrence Rd, the area where the confluence is located.

Just as we were doing the famous Confluence Dance, we were approached by the owner (who by the way is a retired US Navy) where the confluence is located on one side of Durrence Rd and told us more or less where the point was. We completed the confluence dance and the owner who had gone home, came back with a brick for us to place at the confluence for him to know his exact location.

After completing the activities at the confluence and saying goodbye to the owner of the area of the point, we returned to Hinesville to celebrate with a great meal at The Waffles House that Gustavo likes his waffles very much.
