16-Sep-2025 -- On a trip to and through Southern England, I was able to visit ten confluence points along the 51th parallel. The tenth visit took place at 51°N 5°E, Belgium.
From the E314 motorway, I took exit 23 north toward Scherpenheuvel. Smaller roads lead south-east to the town of Zichem. Near the Bredeveldstraat junction from Steenweg Diest, I parked the car at the beginning of Gaisbeokstraet, very close to a residential building. I then walked about 300 meters along a dirt road heading north-east. After the pasture gate, I continued about 360 meters east-north-east along smaller, grassy field paths. The confluence point 51°N 5°E is located in a small pasture under an oak tree. A few sheep could be seen nearby. Further east is the Dehmer River, along which some cyclists were riding. The necessary photos were quickly taken and it was time to return to the car. Via the town of Diest, I returned to the E314 motorway and continued toward home.
This was the 10th and final visit of a confluence point on the 51st parallel during this vacation.
