03-Sep-2025 -- On a trip to and through Southern England, I was able to visit ten confluence points along the 51th parallel. The fourth visit took place at 51°N 1°W, England.
On our way west, now in the county of Hampshire, I wanted to visit this special confluence point, because it is located on/ inside a farm building. I knew this from the DCP website and was keen on to see the location on site. By coming on the Ramsdean Lane from the south I, parked the car beside the road opposite the farm. The area is divided into an area with a residential building, named “Rose Cottage” and staples, where one of the buildings seems to be an automotive garage. At the cottage there were no bell and no on was to be seen. So I walked onto the farm area and reached the point closest to the confluence. It should be located two or three meters further east, which means you have to climb onto the roof of the building. I accepted these minimal distance and chose to finalise my visit of the confluence point 51°N 1°W in front of the building, with the sign “Barrow Hill Farm” on it. After taken the needed pictures I took a look into the barn from the road side. The cows were out on the pasture or it seemed to be out of service. A kind of agricultural art was shown in a Window of this building.
The fourth visit of a confluence point during this trip was an easy done and we continued towards Stonehenge, as any good tourist should do.
