26-Aug-2025 --

On the occasion of the inauguration of the road to the town of El Tolar in Catamarca, we participated in this project, having collaborated with friends of 4x4s on more than one occasion to reach this destination on four wheels. We took advantage of the opportunity to reach this confluence near the area, motivated by other hunters in our group of friends, such as Sergio "Pampa" Zerega, who has over a hundred hunters under his belt.

On this occasion, three friends from different provinces—Edgardo (Rosario), Fernando (Buenos Aires), and Juan Marcelo (Cordoba)—utilizing Tape and Chiquito's experience in 4x4s, hiking, climbing, and other disciplines, reached the nearest outpost to the confluence, crossing sandy areas and icy streams.

The weather was optimal, sunny, and with very good visibility. We were very warmly welcomed at the post. In fact, we were treated to regional foods (lamb, potatoes, chili peppers, and homemade bread) upon our return from the confluence.

We climbed to the confluence almost in a straight line and took about an hour and a half. Now with a different perspective, the return was along the slope (not the summit) to the post.

We continued along the path through Papachacra and Huasicienaga to Villa Vil, which had been recommended to us for its fabulous panoramic views and well-maintained trail.

The next day, we participated in the aforementioned inauguration, which was attended by the governor and his entourage, along with the entire community.

26-Aug-2025 --
