24-Sep-2019 -- This was the 16th CP (of 27) on our 4-week campingcartour accross Great Britain and Ireland. It is located in a beautiful and interesting karst landscape named Burren and is part of the Burren National Park. It is crossed by road R460 which offers quite a lot of possibilities to park your vehicle. So I parked our campingcar approx. 1,4 km beside the CP and started walking towards the CP.

The karst landscape is characterised by rills and all kind of uneven stoneformations that make you move slow and carefully through the obstacle course. I had to cross a well “enforced by a small hedge” then continued my way, always observed by goats. Then I located the CP beside a small meadow and after a short confluencedance (GPS reading was very good) I took the necessary pictures.

Then I walked back to the campingcar. This time surrounding the well along a fence and passing an interesting small tree (picture 5) completely enclosed by a fence. I suppose that this plant is rare and endangered by the local animals (or even dangerous for them). Total time at CP-area: approx. 55 minutes – an interesting CP in beautiful landscape.
