Vorher: 55°N 3°W.

Wir haben auf dem Campingplatz am Grettislaug übernachtet. Es wundervoller Ort mit einem sehr angenehmen Thermalbad.

Wir parken direkt neben der Straße an einem geeigneten Fleck. Nach dem GPS laufen wir über den Hang und die bemoosten Steine auf Tierpfaden bis zu dem kleinen See. Wir gehen links herum zum näher liegenden Ufer.

Gerd ist ein Held. Er zieht sich aus und geht in den kalten See. Leider hat er seine Lesebrille im Auto, macht seinen ersten „Confluenztanz“ und kann die Nullen nicht erkennen und noch weniger die Kamera richtig bedienen.

Er kämpft fast 30 Minuten! Die Sonne steht am höchsten Punkt und brennt so erbarmungslos das er einen leichten Sonnenbrand bekommt.

Ein sehr eindrucksvolles Erlebnis für alle Beteiligten.

Before: 64°N 21°W.

We spent the night at the camping site at Grettislaug. It is a wonderful place with a very pleasant thermal bath. We parked right next to the road at a suitable spot. Following the GPS we walked over the slope and mossy stones on animal tracks to the small lake.

We turned left to the closer shore. Gerd is a hero. He undressed and walked into the cold lake. Unfortunately he hadleft his reading glasses in the car, does his first "confluence dance" and can't recognize the zeros anymore and even less operate the camera properly.

He fought for almost 30 minutes!

The sun was at its highest point and burned so mercilessly that he got a slight sunburn. A very impressive experience for everyone involved.
