28-Июня-2019 – Продолжение после 38°N 5°W.

Проведя 3 дня на море, мы начали движение домой. Стартовали мы из Оливы (посёлок между Валенсией и Бенидормом). Но сначала – гипер-конфлюенция на нулевом меридиане!

Через пару часов мы въехали в город Кастильон де ла Плана и, следуя навигатору, я пытался подъехать к конфлюенции с севера. Отсюда удалось подойти только к точке 40°00.052'N 0°00.011'E (95 метров до цели), но дальше пройти было невозможно, так как это была частная территория, все было за высокими заборами. Тогда я попытался объехать и подойти с запада. И вот тут оказалось, что юго-западнее точки расположен маленький парк Меридиано (ничего себе название!). Я припарковался у входа и пошёл в него. Стояла жуткая жара, в парке никого не было (кроме одной девушки с коляской). Но главное, что в парке нашёлся монумент о пересечении Гринвического меридиана с 40-й параллелью. К сожалению, монумент расположен в точке 39°59.928'N 0°00.068'E, в 165 метрах от настоящего места (в системе WGS) ибо как объяснил географ Керски, тут применялась система ED50.

Но из парка нельзя подойти к цели, так как парк окружен изгородью и дренажными канавами. Тогда я предпринял следующую попытку и снова пошёл к точке с запада, но немного севернее парка. Я прошёлся по странной дорожке с посаженными недавно растениями. На ней так же стояло одинокое лимонное дерево, полное плодов. В этот раз мне удалось подобраться на 57 метров к точному месту. От машины я всего прошёл 1,2 км (включая прогулку по парку).

Наверное зимой или осенью можно было пройти дальше, но в этот день были непроходимые кусты. Я зафиксировал пересечение с 57-метровой точностью. Суперконфлюенция расположена в жилой (частично сельскохозяйственной) зоне поблизости от средиземноморского побережья. Это моя 7-я круглая точка! В 2,5 км был прекрасный пляж, где мы и попрощались с морем перед поездкой домой!

Уже дома я понял, что к точке нужно было подъезжать с юга, по улице Каррераса де ла Гальенка (Carrerasa de la Gallenca) так как конфлюенция находится хоть и в частном доме, но в 12 метрах от проезжей части.

28-Jun-2019 – Continued after 38°N 5°W.

After spending 3 days at sea, we begun driving home. We started from Oliva (a village between Valencia and Benidorm). But the first goal was the hyper-confluence on the prime meridian!

After a couple of hours, we drove into the city of Castiglione de la Plana and, following the google-navigator, I tried to drive up to the confluence from the north. From here we managed to approach only the point 40°00.052'N 0°00.011'E (95 meters to the target), but it was impossible to go further, since it was a private territory, everything was behind high fences. Then I tried to go around and approach from the west. And then it turned out that southwest of the point is a small Meridiano Park (what a name, wow!). I parked at the park entrance and went into it. There was a terrible heat, there was nobody in the park (except for one young woman with a stroller). But the main thing is that in the park there was a monument about the intersection of the Greenwich meridian with the 40th parallel. Unfortunately, the monument is located at 39°59.928'N 0°00.068'E, that is in 165 meters from its real location (in the WGS system) because, as the geographer Kerski explained, here used the ED50 system.

But one cannot approach the goal from the park, as the park is surrounded by a fence and drainage ditches. Then I made another attempt and again went to the CP from the west, but a little north of the park. I walked along a strange path with recently planted plants. There is also a lonely lemon tree full of fruits on this path. This time I managed to reach a distance of 57 meters to the exact spot. Totally I walked 1.2 km from the car (including a walk in the park).

Probably in the winter or on the autumn one could pass further, but on that day there were impassable bushes. I recorded my visit to CP with 57-meter accuracy. Hyper-confluence is located in a residential (partially agricultural) area close to the Mediterranean coast. This is my 7th hyper-confluence! In 2.5 km from CP there is a beautiful beach, where we said goodbye to the sea before driving home!

Already at home, I realized that it had been necessary to drive to the confluence point from the south, along the street Carreras de la Gallenca since the confluence, although locates in a private house, is in 12 meters from the roadway.
