23-Jul-2011 -- This is one of my favorite confluence visits so far. My family and I were driving north from Lancaster, PA to Rome, NY and took a significant detour off our usual route to visit this degree confluence. Part of the reason I love this confluence so much is because of the beautiful rural setting. We followed many secondary dirt roads for the last several miles before we reached the confluence.

The confluence itself is located less than 1000 feet from a quiet country farm road called N Rd. There was some kind of gathering taking place at the farm with the large pond east of the confluence point. The fields are well maintained and a mix of corn and grass. The grass had recently mowed and the corn was about 18 inches high. The mowed fields made for an easy walk, slightly uphill, from the road to the confluence point.

From this confluence point you can see New York to the north and Pennsylvania to the south. We couldn't have asked for better weather and bright blue skies spotted with clouds. My photos detail the rest of my visit.
