26-Jun-2008 -- Traveling through Scandinavia on our holiday trip this was one of the Confluence Points that was close to our track. As we are traveling by car and towing a caravan I'm not able to get to remote CP's, but this one showed on the the map as located not far off the main road leading from Ätran to Torup, so I decided to give it a try, despite the rain, first rain for weeks.

Closing in to the point I found a 'grusveg' (a dirt-track) that enabled me to get even closer to the CP. About 300 meters from the main road we found a nice spot along the dirt track were I could park the car and caravan and walk to find the exact location of the CP. That was only about 125 meters into the forest. It took some time to locate the exact spot because reception was fairly poor. I finally decided for the spot in between the trees showing in the center of picture nr 1. At that point I had all zero's with a possible error of 7 to 9 meters for a prolonged time.

It's just trees (spruce?) you can see around as you can see, but that is quite obvious I think. There is only one house in the neighborhood, about 300 meters to the NW. Distance to the main road is also about 300 meters.

There were traces of recently harvested trees, but the wood as a whole is still intact. The noise of busy loggers was not far away, but I couldn't see them Doesn't look as if it will alter significantly in the near future.

Back at the caravan, a lady walking a dog stopped for a chat. She told that there are no plans for alterations in the near future. She was very happy with todays rain because there had not been any rainfall during several weeks and the forests were very dry with a high risk of wildfire.
