27-Mar-2007 -- I drove down to Kansas City on a gloomy early spring day to have lunch with my Brother. He was feeling pretty good and was willing to accompany my on the search for this site. He is recovering from treatment and doesn't have all the strength that he would like.

We drove down most of the same roads that my routing software took us there were a few deviations to avoid the 4:00 to 5:00 PM traffic in and around KC. We approached the site from the west on Golden road. We drove past the site and found a spot off the road to park. We then decided to go back west and see if we had a better shot at the site. The walk was pretty good with two gullies and a cornfield to get to the tracks. Don had to walk a little farther than he expected around 250 ft. He was able to get within .05' of the site. He went on back to get the car and I went on to the site.

It was a nice cool day and everything went well except for the mud.
