(visited by Ilia Yablonko and Artem Sismekov)

English Narrative

English Narrative

10-Jun-2006 -- We planned to visit 58°N 59°E and 58°N 58°E DCPs during our three-day bike trip across Sverdlovskaya oblast’ and Permskaya oblast’ (bike does mean bicycle and not at all motorcycle).

There were three of us – Sismekov Artyom, Yablonko Ilia, Vostretsov Sergey. We set off from Yekaterinburg city by the first morning electrical train to Nizhniy Tagil (Lower Tagil) city. The first stretch was about 70 kilometers from Nizhniy Tagil to Serebryanka (Silver) village by unpaved road across numerous hills in western direction. After we passed through Serebryanka village, we left Sergey resting (sleeping) on the banks of Potyazh stream and followed Serebryanka – Buton road in north-eastern direction. The distance to the confluence was about 5 kilometers.

When DCP was as far as 500 meters we saw an old overgrown badly degraded branch-road that led in proper direction downward through forest. This path conducted us almost to the point. While taking necessary photos we must waved away throngs of mosquitoes.

When we returned to Sergey we continued our journey.

Artyom Sismekov
