  36°N 120°W (visit #6) (incomplete)

#1: One of many closed gates

(visited by Terje Mathisen)

18-Apr-2006 -- After the successful visit to 37°N 120°W I drove south towards Kettlemann City and Milham Road which should lead nearly all the way to the confluence.

However, shortly before this road crosses I5, it is posted as closed, and just a short distance further also barred with a big gate.

According to my Garmin maps, it should however be possible to reach the point from multiple different directions on the west side of I5, so I drove under the highway and started trying them all.

After about an hour of trial and error, ending on the Skyline Road NW of the confluence, I realized that the entire area surrounding the point is now both closed with gates and posted with No Trespassing signs. The best idea for any further visitors would seem to be to contact the people living at the end of Milham Raod and try to get permission. The walk from the gate to the point would then be about one mile.

Shawn Fleming used this approach on his visit and were even allowed to drive up to the point.
