#1: looking north

(visited by David Mower)

01-Apr-2006 -- I successfully visited this confluence on 1 Apr 2006 at about 10:40 AM. I parked and walked west about 225 meters to the point which is in unused agricultural land, just a few meters south of the highway right-of-way fence and just a few meters north of an irrigation ditch. I judged that the ditch is unused because it contains a large amount of debris, mostly highway litter.

State Highway 7, a very busy road, is about 40 meters north of the point. The highway runs parallel to 40 degrees north. There is quite a lot of development going on in the area. It appears likely that the parcel containing the confluence point will soon become involved in it. The eastern boundary fence has been removed and the highway right-of-way fence is not in good repair. There is an advertising billboard for a nearby residential development.

The weather was partly cloudy with pleasant temperatures. It was a bit breezy, portending rain showers, which did arrive later in the day.

It's always magical to see those ten zeroes! Thanks for getting me out!
