16-Apr-2014 -- Today is Tuesday, 15 April, the program is provided closer to the 5N 61W, I come even with the euphoria of success in the 4°N 61°W visit #2.

I woke up early and make my way to the town of San Francisco Yuruani, a settlement of indigenous Pemon where mandatory stop for people passing through the road 10. I had a quick breakfast, I saw samples of crafts and set GPS track to populated Paraitepuy Roraima. The route is off road and there was a light drizzle, had the idea to see how far I could go in the Eco Sport, there were several challenges as outstanding enough inclined dirty road by deep furrows and slopes other hand, there were several steps with mud at the risk of getting stuck: I stop by a gallery forest and the wind chill cooled in a pleasant but short range, Roraima this time looked closer and imposing, take to capture that moment on photo and continue guided by the GPS and ver.14.04 VENRUT, reach the intersection to the right while a 4WD caravan passed me at full speed.

The travel was short because I found a site that could be risky and even despite my intense desire to get noticed by achieved the goal of recognizing and undoing turned way up to get back to the gallery forest path was interrupted by a fallen tree and were several rustic stand. There I met Ricardo, a guide who asked me if I have available a “machete” lend it and managed to split logs while one of the trucks pulled the tree and the path was freed. Take the time to try to rent a car, people had lunch and went down to contact the “captain” of population the teacher Juvencio Gomez who agreed to take me at 8:30 am on Wednesday 16, Find a hosting was hard to find in this area, so I went to the wild water of Kamoiran where fuel supply, I connect my GPS to one of the only 2 available plugs charge it the Juvencio´s truck do not have a facility to connect GPS. It rained heavily that night I almost thought it was going to escape again CP, at 8:00 am I arrived at San Francisco Yuruani again on the site agreed to another quick breakfast and we start doing it again in the truck the day before the tour, this time in more adverse conditions because it rained and the road was very slippery and difficult even for the truck.

We turned on the point that the trail is separated from the rest of the old road to Santa Elena de Uairen, Juvencio told me they had suitable for an international cycling event that will take place soon. The truck stopped near the River Parai about 1.9 km from the CP in a straight line about there our guide took us to a Parai river crossing pass through a thin trunk which we crossed and went to a discovered area with clear segments by the effects of fire and other covered weeds and many ditches running north-south channels water into the river. Many holes varying in depth of 30 centimeters to 1 meter was made intentionally to it to sample material since this area was a diamond mine at the time, but still had signs of recent excavations made it difficult step.

Also found huge termite nests, then the GPS gave the approximate 86 meters reading so we were at the official approach, but we wanted watching the zeros so we continued dodging the obstacles that included several ditches, water crossings and dense vegetation, finally define the direction and distance and mark a straight line to the CP, 50, 40 30, 20 meters we reached 3 meters that make the GPS error: We began the confluence dance, the sky was very cloudy so the zeros being made to wait shy of becoming frozen in a photograph.

The magic moment came and the game was effective precisely at 11:36 a.m. absolute joy had fulfilled the second of the three objectives I had in mind when you start the trip since last April 11, many justified mileage. The return was faster it rained much of the way back, giving us fresh for the success of the day. The conversation on the way back was very educational as Juvencio worship in both cultures me I talk of their culture, rituals, beliefs and taught me several words in pemon, his respect for the elderly, property and the environment, was a value added tremendous this adventure to share with noble people of whom we learn a lot and apply to our way of life.
