FIRST CONFLUENCE IN SANTA FE

By a non-existent road for the GPS, I went out of the 31°S 62°W directly to the Provincial Route 1 and I entered to Porteña to fill my fuel tank. A lovely railroad station attracted me for taking a couple of pictures.

Already in clear return to home, I proponed myself to catch another one and I pointed to 32°S 62°W, in the Santa Fe province, at south of San Francisco city.

Because the shortage of roads in the GPS continued, I consulted the “Automovil Club Argentino (ACA)” maps and I saw some railroads that led me near the confluence from San Francisco. Always there are paths along the railroads, then I attempted to go by them from Frontera (Santa Fe) to Esmeralda in “Off road” mode according GPS. It was an clever decision because the road existed and it was en very good conditions. I drove at 100 km/h in some parts.

GPS “revived” and it began to show roads and I followed them. The distance was reduced quickly driving by lonely and lovely paths with southern direction. At 15 km of the confluence, at the latitude of the Sastre city, an artificial channel “was introduced” along the unique road that led toward south and then I had to move away from the objective, led me to Sastre and San Jorge cities by asphalt. Here, I returned to non paved roads, zigzagging among seeded countries.

Finally, a rural path put me in front a gate with padlock at 250 m of the confluence 32°S 62°W. Taking advantage of my good luck of the previous confluences, I entered without doubts in a land with wheat enough high and I walked to the point, praying that nobody claims something for my “invasion”. I walked along the furrow avoiding the healthy plants of wheat and quickly I reached the fourth consecutive confluence. Again, nobody appeared.

It arrived the time for returning home, with my new prized captures in my pockets.
