(visited by Rod Kevill and Sandra Kevill)

25-Sep-2005 -- We had successfully visited S24 E119 the previous day, and were hopeful of claiming S26 E121 today. My brother John and his wife Mariane had headed back south this morning, leaving Sandy and I to tackle the next confluence on Millrose Station on our own.

We headed off towards Wiluna, diverting briefly on to the Canning Stock Route to No.2 Well, then continued on to Wiluna, then out east to the Lake Violet turnoff and on to Millrose. I had phoned Rex and Norma Ward earlier in the week to obtain permission to use the station tracks.

We arrived at the station around midday, and Norma showed us detailed maps of the tracks we would need to get close to the confluence. We headed off and after about 80km of good tracks, we arrived at a point about 4km from the confluence. Leaving the track, we drove through a variety of light timber, spinifex, and clay pan, weaving our way finally to within about 300m of the confluence. We took the usual set of photos, then returned to the vehicle to discover a very flat staked front tyre. A quick fix with a tyre repair plug, and we were on our way back to the station, passing numerous kangaroos around the wells at around sunset.
