#1: Looking south with the confluence point in the foreground

(visited by Timothy John Ney and Trevor Johnston)

15-May-2002 -- This confluence point is about 30km south west of Aramac and is situated on a Homestead known as Pawella. It was easy to access the point (only 8 gates to open and close) as all tracks and roads in the area (during dry times, which is most of the year) are accessible to 2 wheel drive vehicles. The area is typical of the landscape surrounding Aramac in Western Queensland.

We arrived late (around 6:00pm) on the 14th of May to undertake some GPS work on an existing permanent survey mark about 1km away. So, it was dark, by the time we tried the our first attempt at 6:20pm.

The following day at 7:00am we arrived to a glorious cloudless day, if not cold. It was a easy walk from an well use track that was about 500m away.
