04-Sep-2025 -- On a trip to and through Southern England, I was able to visit ten confluence points along the 51th parallel. The fifth visit took place at 51°N 2°W, England.
On our way west, now in the county of Wiltshire, we came from the NE and reached the elongated village of Bowerchalk. On a dead end in the NW of this village we parked the car and searched a possible way to the confluence point. Right in front of a private gate at the dead end I ask a craftsman for a way in the needed direction. He explained that a smaller gate next to the large one is open for public access, that an upper barn will appear and that the way will continue further the needed direction. So we passed the small gate and found a fridge with cider in a shed, eventually for guest of a nearby campsite. After passing a few pastures with calves we reached the upper barn and continued further direction west. After passing an other gate and walking through a wooded stripe I reached the location of the confluence point 51°N 2°W. It is located on a harvested maize field, close to the edge of the western located wood. Soon I could take the needed pictures.
After the visit of this confluence point we took a lovely detour back to the car and continued towards Stonehenge, as any good tourist should do.
