03-Nov-2008 – Having been back from the confluence point 50ºN 41ºE to our car, we decided to get as close as possible to the target confluence point until a place to spend the night is found. We got back to Petropavlovka village and drove about 45 kilometers northwards to the town of Kalach. After that we took a right turn and headed towards Manino village since there was the nearest passage to Volgograd region there. Villages Manino and Krasnopolye that we drove through belong to Voronezh and Volgograd regions respectively with administrative border lying between them. Half an hour later we entered the village of Nekhayevskaya, a center of administrative district. Each of such centers usually has something like a hotel. The village was not an exception to this rule: there was the only hotel that was owned by local agricultural cooperative. That was the place where we stayed for the night.

We left Nekhaevskaya village early in the morning and took a left turn after about 14 kilometers of driving southwards. After that we drove about 25 kilometers to the south-east, reached Nesterovskiy village and left it via south-western exit. We took a left turn to a dirt track a kilometer before the entrance to Ryabovskiy village. The dirt track guided us about 8 kilometers southeastwards until it started going uphill. We wish we had a car more suitable for off-road driving and had to cover the remaining 1.5 kilometers on foot. The confluence point is interesting due to its location: it is a field at the top of the hill with power lines relieving the monotony of landscape. Our way back home ran along the M6 route we reached via Alekseyevskaya village and the town of Novoannenskiy.
